About the Community

Nacogdoches is one of the oldest towns in Texas, situated in the Piney Woods of East Texas — a region defined by towering loblolly pines, lakes, and a genuine small-city character. The area offers a low cost of living, a strong sense of community, and easy access to outdoor recreation including Nacogdoches Lake and the surrounding Angelina National Forest. Stephen F. Austin State University anchors the local cultural and educational scene, and the Dallas–Fort Worth and Houston metro areas are each within roughly a three-hour drive for those who want periodic access to a major urban center.
