- Coordinator oversees full front-office operations: patient greeting, multi-line phone management, appointment scheduling and confirmation, and front desk supervision
- Responsible for charge entry, patient balance processing, and daily reconciliation of charges and payments
- Manages insurance verification, referral processing, and accurate collection of patient demographics
- Oversees medical records process including management, copying, and accuracy review
- Handles office supply ordering and day-to-day administrative logistics of the physician office
- EMR platform: NextGen or Athena (experience with either preferred)
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a physician practice setting preferred
- Completion of a Medical Office Assistant program preferred
- Healthcare management or administration certification preferred
- EMR/EHR experience required; NextGen or Athena experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in a Windows environment with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and internet-based tools required
- Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and adaptably within a complex, matrixed organizational environment
