Practice Highlights
- Full-time, day-shift schedule in the ICU — consistent shift structure supporting work-life balance
- Direct clinical patient care role with per-shift accountability for assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized nursing care plans
- Responsible for overall coordination and integration of patient care using the nursing process across the unit level
- Supervises and delegates care to appropriate support staff on shift
- Accountable to the CNO for high-quality, safe nursing care; clinical staff competency; and appropriate resource utilization
- Medication administration per hospital policy with emphasis on safety and timeliness
- Active role in quality improvement, infection control, risk management, and established safety standards
- Trained and expected to fulfill Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities during emergencies and disaster activations
- Part of a five-hospital regional system including a dedicated children's hospital, with access to a broad subspecialty referral network across the El Paso metropolitan area

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required); Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred
- Active Texas RN license or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state of practice
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required for PRN status; recent acute care experience strongly preferred
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and/or PALS and/or NRP required as applicable per corporate policy for the ICU unit of hire
