West Boca Medical Center in Boca Raton, Florida is recruiting a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) / Medical Technologist for its evening shift. This acute care hospital laboratory serves neonatal, pediatric, and adult patient populations across a broad scope of disciplines — chemistry, hematology, immunology, immunohematology, and microbiology — with both automated and manual methodologies. WBMC is the only facility in southern Palm Beach County with a Level III NICU, making this a high-acuity, clinically rich laboratory environment for a technologist who values meaningful, complex casework.

Practice Highlights

Qualifications

  • Minimum education: Associate degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology; any combination of education and experience recognized by the State of Florida for licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist is considered
  • Active Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist license, or eligibility to obtain
  • 1–5 years of experience as a Medical Technologist rotating through technical areas or sections in an acute care hospital laboratory
  • Proficiency with both automated and manual laboratory procedures across multiple disciplines
  • Must successfully pass a color blindness test prior to employment
  • Adherence to the legal scope of practice as defined by the Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel, State of Florida
