Practice Highlights

- CCU RN provides direct bedside nursing care using the nursing process, with individualized, age-specific care planning
- Coordinates care planning across disciplines; collaborates with physicians, APPs, and ancillary staff
- Assesses physical, psychosocial, spiritual, educational, cultural, safety/risk, and discharge planning needs on admission and on an ongoing basis
- Implements and evaluates nursing and medical orders relative to patient status; systematically evaluates quality and effectiveness of nursing practice
- Participates in hourly rounding; observes and enforces safety guidelines and safe work practices
- May serve in charge RN capacity for assigned shifts — supervisory responsibilities include assessing, planning, delegating, and directing other healthcare team members

Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Arizona required
- Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school required; BSN preferred
- Minimum one year of acute care experience preferred; new graduates will be considered
- Current CPR certification required; ACLS required upon completion of orientation (per ICU/CCU department requirement)
- Specialty certification in critical care preferred
- Basic computer proficiency required; strong interpersonal and customer service skills essential
- Ability to function independently and exercise sound clinical judgment in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
