Qualifications

  • Minimum education: High School diploma or equivalent required; CNA credential preferred
  • Experience in the mental health field or equivalent academic preparation required; one year of acute hospital experience with geriatric patients preferred
  • Active Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire (ARC or AHA); AHA Healthcare Provider BLS specifically must be obtained within 60 days of hire
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer date into the unit
  • No state licensure required at time of hire
