Practice Highlights
- Performs laboratory testing on blood, urine, body fluids, and feces; reports results per established laboratory policies and procedures
- Obtains patient specimens directly as part of routine workflow
- Operates under general supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor with capacity to assume supervisory responsibility for the department when requested by the laboratory manager
- Supports a multi-specialty acute care hospital with active service lines in obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology (including a cardiac catheterization lab and electrophysiology capabilities), cancer care, neuroscience (Brainlab technology, stroke treatment), and bariatric/weight loss surgery

Qualifications
- Minimum education: Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, or an Associate Degree as a Medical Laboratory Technician, or equivalent education and clinical work experience
- Certification required by the Board of Registry (ASCP), NCA, AMT, or any certification recognized by the Texas Department of Health as an MT or MLT
- Previous experience as a medical technologist or medical laboratory technician preferred
- Clinical rotation experience considered for candidates with a pending graduation date
- Active Texas laboratory licensure or eligibility to obtain
