<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred</li> <li>0–1 year of customer service experience required</li> <li>0–1 year of administrative experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or related field preferred</li> <li>Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute</li> <li>Proficiency with PC, CRT terminal, and printer</li> <li>Ability to interpret physician orders, medical terminology, and insurance cards accurately</li> <li>Working knowledge of Third Party Payor requirements and healthcare compliance standards preferred</li> <li>Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to manage uncooperative patients and high patient volumes professionally</li> <li>Physical requirements: extended periods of sitting at a computer terminal, frequent standing and walking, occasional lifting up to 25 lbs, and occasional wheelchair assistance for patients with mobility needs</li> </ul>
