Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of a formal Operating Room Technology (ORT) program required for all new hires
- Current CPR certification required
- Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience with operative procedures, surgical equipment, and instrumentation
- Working knowledge of current surgical scrub technique and medical/surgical terminology
- Preferred: minimum one year of hospital or surgical setting experience
- Preferred: completion of an accredited Operating Room Technology course and/or national certification (CST or equivalent)
- Strong customer service orientation and basic computer proficiency
