The Hospitals of Providence – East Campus in El Paso, Texas is recruiting a full-time Registered Nurse to join its Cath Lab team. Practice Highlights

  • Full-time, rotating shift schedule within an active Cath Lab environment
  • Direct clinical patient care role with per-shift accountability for assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized nursing care
  • Responsible for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process
  • Supervises and delegates care to appropriate staff members within the unit
  • Administers all medications safely and in accordance with hospital policy and established standards
  • Practices within frameworks of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control protocols
  • Participates in Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities during emergencies and disaster events
  • Part of a five-hospital regional system that includes a dedicated children's hospital, with a broad referral catchment across the El Paso region
  • Accountable to CNO-level leadership to ensure high-quality, safe nursing care and appropriate resource management

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred
  • Minimum one year of RN experience required for PRN status; recent acute care experience preferred
  • Current, active Texas RN license (or eligibility to obtain) required
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and/or PALS and/or NRP required as applicable per corporate policy for the Cath Lab unit
