Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Active Texas State Registered Nurse license required at time of hire
- No minimum experience required; two or more years in acute care preferred — med/surg, telemetry, or ICU background strongly valued
- Active Healthcare Provider BLS (ARC or AHA) required on hire; AHA Healthcare Provider BLS must be obtained within 60 days if not already AHA-credentialed
- AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into the Adult Critical Care, Telemetry, or Interim Critical Care units — ideally before end of orientation
- AHA PALS required within 60 days for Pediatric ICU placement; AHA NRP and S.T.A.B.L.E. (Level 2 Nursery) required within specified timeframes for NICU placement
