Practice Highlights
- Day-shift, full-time position within a dedicated Endoscopy unit
- Direct clinical patient care role with responsibility for assessment, planning, and implementation of nursing care on a per-shift and unit level
- Accountable for coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process within the prescribed medical regimen
- Responsible for safe and timely medication administration in accordance with hospital policy
- Supervisory responsibility for staff to whom appropriate care is delegated
- Supports the CNO in maintaining high-quality, safe nursing care, clinical staff competency, and appropriate resource management
- Adherence to established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control
- Participation in Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities during emergencies or disaster events
- Part of a five-hospital regional system including a dedicated children's hospital, serving as the region's primary healthcare network since 1902
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum one year of RN experience required for PRN status; recent acute care experience preferred
- Current, active Texas RN license or eligibility to obtain required
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and/or PALS and/or NRP required if applicable per corporate policy for the unit of hire
