Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Active Texas State Registered Nurse license required at time of hire
- No minimum experience required; two years of acute care experience preferred
- Adult ED certification requirements:
- Active ARC or AHA Healthcare Provider BLS on hire; AHA Healthcare Provider BLS required within 60 days
- AHA ACLS required within 60 days of hire or transfer (ideally completed before end of orientation)
- AHA PALS required within 60 days of hire or transfer (ideally completed before end of orientation; not required in Adult ED at North Central Baptist Hospital)
- TNCC required within 1 year of hire or transfer date
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification required within 60 days of hire or transfer
- ENPC preferred
- Pediatric ED certification requirements:
- Active ARC or AHA Healthcare Provider BLS on hire; AHA Healthcare Provider BLS required within 60 days
- AHA PALS required within 60 days of hire or transfer (ideally completed before end of orientation)
