Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing required
- Current Texas State License as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required at time of hire
- Active Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire (ARC or AHA accepted); AHA Healthcare Provider BLS must be obtained within 60 days of hire
- AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 60 days of hire or transfer for Emergency Room assignments
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Level 2 Nursery certification required for nursery assignments — proof of prior completion accepted, or must be obtained within 6 months of hire (renewal not required)
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training required within 60 days of hire or transfer for Behavioral Health and Emergency Room assignments
- Prior LVN experience in an acute care setting preferred; new graduates considered
