<p>Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree, California is recruiting a full-time Radiology Technologist to join its Medical Imaging Department, serving inpatients, outpatients, the emergency department, the operating suite, and the continuing care center. This day-shift position offers a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 based on experience, cross-training into DEXA scanning, and the clinical breadth of a three-hospital regional network that includes a Level 1 Trauma Center and the only Level 3 NICU in the Coachella Valley. <h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Full-time, day-shift schedule: 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.</li> <li>Rotational standby call at least once per week, scheduled according to department needs</li> <li>Scope of service covers inpatients, outpatients, the emergency department, hospital operating suites, and the continuing care center</li> <li>General diagnostic radiographic procedures and general fluoroscopic procedures performed routinely; cross-training into DEXA scanning based on department needs</li> <li>Patient population spans all age groups: newborn, pediatric, geriatric, and general adult</li> <li>Proficiency required across RIS, EHR, and PACS systems; PACS used to ensure timely image delivery to radiologists</li> <li>Radiation safety practices maintained to ALARA standards; compliance with Joint Commission, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements</li> <li>Active participation in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities</li> <li>Opportunity to assist in training students and ancillary personnel</li> <li>Part of Desert Care Network — a three-hospital system (Joshua Tree, Palm Springs, Indio) offering comprehensive stroke care, a cancer center, a Level 1 Trauma Center, and the region's only Level 3 NICU</li> </ul>

<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology (college-affiliated or hospital-based program)</li> <li>Active California CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) certification — state authorization to administer radiation required at time of hire</li> <li>Current ARRT R.T.(R) certification required</li> <li>Current California Fluoroscopy license required; new graduates have 120 days from date of hire to obtain</li> <li>Current American Heart Association BLS certification</li> <li>Effective English communication skills, verbal and written; basic computer proficiency</li> <li>Preferred: competency in DEXA scan performance; willingness to cross-train into additional modalities</li> <li>New graduates encouraged to apply</li> </ul>
