Practice Highlights

  • Part-time, night-shift schedule in a dedicated Neuro ICU setting
  • Direct clinical patient care with per-shift accountability for assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized nursing care
  • Responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process
  • Supervision and delegation of care to appropriate support staff on the unit level
  • Accountable to CNO-level leadership for quality, safety, and appropriate resource management
  • Medication administration per hospital policy with adherence to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards
  • Active participation in Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities during emergencies and disaster scenarios

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required); Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred
  • Current, active Texas RN license or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state of practice
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and/or PALS and/or NRP required if applicable per corporate policy for the unit of hire
  • Recent acute care experience preferred; Neuro ICU or critical care background is advantageous given unit acuity
