- Monthly medication inspections, QA log maintenance, and active participation in performance improvement initiatives
- Senior technician serves as a training resource and mentor for new and less experienced pharmacy technician staff
- Medication management activities may extend to a remote site commonly owned and operated by the hospital, performed under supervision of the facility medical director
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician license required
- Pharmacy Technician certification required (e.g., PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum three (3) years of hospital pharmacy experience, or demonstrated performance equivalent
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a certified pharmacy technician training program preferred
- Hands-on experience with sterile IV compounding, including chemotherapy preparation, strongly preferred
- Proficiency with automated dispensing and packaging technology; basic computer skills required
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
