<h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Full-time, day-shift position on the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) — a step-down level of care requiring strong assessment and monitoring skills</li> <li>Direct clinical patient care with per-shift responsibility for patient assessment, care planning, and implementation</li> <li>Accountable for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process within the prescribed medical regimen</li> <li>Responsible for safe, timely medication administration in accordance with hospital policy</li> <li>Supervises and delegates care to appropriate support staff on the unit</li> <li>Practices in alignment with established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control</li> <li>Participates in Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities during emergencies and disaster events</li> <li>Part of a five-hospital regional system including a dedicated children's hospital — broad subspecialty support and referral infrastructure available</li> <li>System with over 120 years of continuous community service in the El Paso region</li> </ul>

<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required); Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred</li> <li>Active Texas RN license or eligibility to obtain; must meet all state law and regulatory requirements for practice</li> <li>Minimum 1 year of RN experience required for PRN status; recent acute care experience preferred</li> <li>Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required</li> <li>AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and/or PALS and/or NRP required if applicable per corporate policy for the unit of hire</li> </ul>
