About the Community
El Paso sits at the westernmost tip of Texas, bordered by New Mexico to the north and the Rio Grande to the south — a sun-drenched, high-desert city of nearly 700,000 with a rich bicultural character and one of the lowest costs of living among major U.S. metros. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy year-round access to the Franklin Mountains State Park, Hueco Tanks, and the Chihuahuan Desert, while the city offers a vibrant food scene, strong public and private school options, and a close-knit community feel. The region's mild winters, affordable housing, and proximity to both Albuquerque and the broader Southwest corridor make El Paso a compelling destination for clinicians seeking quality of life alongside meaningful clinical work.
