Practice Highlights

  • Primary focus on processing legal requests: attorney billing, affidavits, subpoenas, and depositions for patients, attorneys, and third parties
  • Direct follow-up with attorneys to obtain information needed to fulfill legal requests within state-mandated timelines
  • Account management duties including updating bankruptcy notices, submitting account adjustments, and posting and depositing attorney checks
  • Clerical and document management responsibilities: sorting correspondence, filing, sending routine letters, photocopying, scanning, and indexing documents
  • Account validation and updates performed across multiple platforms: ACE, STAR, Epic, and Meditech

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; some college preferred
  • 2–3 years of experience in a healthcare, legal, or business office environment
  • Working knowledge of healthcare terminology and intermediate understanding of the healthcare industry
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with ACE, Epic, STAR, and/or Meditech systems is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; excellent listening and organizational abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, and learn quickly in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to meet applicable vaccination and pre-employment screening requirements prior to start date
