Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, or graduate of an accredited school of medical technology; military training equivalent as defined by 42 CFR 493.1489 also accepted; qualifications meeting CLIA High Complexity testing criteria (42 CFR 493.1489 and 42 CFR 493.1491) required
  • For Moderate Complexity testing oversight: Associate's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of field experience meets CLIA criteria
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a medical technologist in an acute care facility, with demonstrated progression of responsibilities
  • Registered or registry-eligible through an approved certifying agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT, or CSMLS); certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire
  • Non-US trained personnel must complete equivalency evaluation through NACES or AICE within 30 days of hire
  • State licensure as required by Arizona
