Qualifications

  • Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school required; BSN preferred
  • Minimum two years of relevant clinical nursing experience required; emergency department experience strongly applicable to this role
  • Two years of supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Active Arizona Registered Nurse license required
  • Current CPR and ACLS required (ACLS must be obtained upon completion of orientation if not already held)
  • PALS or ENPC required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire (ER-specific requirement)
  • Certification in emergency nursing or relevant specialty area preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to make independent clinical and operational decisions in high-acuity, high-stress situations
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and change-management skills; experience with departmental budget management a plus
