Practice Highlights
- Recovery (PACU) nursing role providing direct post-anesthesia patient care across assigned patients on a per-shift basis
- Responsible for full nursing process: assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation within the recovery setting
- Supervises and delegates care to appropriate support staff; accountable to CNO for quality, safety, and resource management
- Administers medications safely and in accordance with hospital policy; adheres to established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control
- Participates in Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities during emergencies and disaster events
- Operates within a regional referral system serving the broader Rio Grande Valley population — one of the most medically underserved and rapidly growing regions in Texas

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required); Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred
- Current, active Texas RN license or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state of Texas
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and/or PALS and/or NRP required as applicable per unit-of-hire corporate policy
- Recent acute care experience preferred; PACU or perioperative nursing background is advantageous
