This lead-level role carries both hands-on clinical responsibility across the full patient age spectrum — neonatal through geriatric — and a formal leadership function that includes workflow coordination, staff precepting, and departmental decision-making. <h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Completion of a formal two-year respiratory education program meeting requirements for Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialing</li> <li>Active Arizona Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license required</li> <li>Current CPR certification required at time of hire</li> <li>ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required within 12 months of employment</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge of volume ventilators and patient hemodynamics</li> <li>Ability to take an active leadership role in meeting departmental needs, including precepting staff, students, and orientees</li> <li>Acute care and ICU experience preferred</li> <li>Computer proficiency preferred; strong understanding of asepsis, infection control, and isolation practices required</li> </ul>
