<p>Abrazo West Campus Hospital in Goodyear, Arizona is recruiting a Lead Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to serve as a clinical and operational anchor for its respiratory therapy department at a 200-bed acute care facility that includes a Level I Trauma Center, ICU, PACU, obstetrics, cardiovascular care, and orthopedics. This lead-level role carries both hands-on clinical responsibility across the full patient age spectrum — neonatal through geriatric — and a formal leadership function that includes workflow coordination, staff precepting, and departmental decision-making. <h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>200-bed acute care hospital serving the West Valley communities of the greater Phoenix metropolitan area</li> <li>Level I Trauma Center with full acute care service lines including ICU, PACU, obstetrics, cardiovascular care, and orthopedics</li> <li>Advanced surgical technology on campus: da Vinci Xi robotic surgical platform and Loop-X intraoperative imaging system</li> <li>Full diagnostic respiratory scope: simple spirometry, complete pulmonary function testing (PFTs), pulse oximetry, ABG machine maintenance, EKGs, EEGs, treadmill stress testing, and hemodynamic monitoring</li> <li>Arterial line insertion performed following appropriate training and certification</li> <li>Routine respiratory care services across all modalities: SVN, IPPB therapy, all oxygen therapies, and all modes of mechanical ventilation including volume ventilators</li> <li>Patient population spans newborn (including NRP-level neonatal care), pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric</li> <li>Lead role includes planning and organizing departmental workload, monitoring assignments, rescheduling, cancellations, and real-time workflow coordination with staff</li> <li>Active participation in discharge planning: home care setup and interdisciplinary discharge planning meetings</li> <li>Precepting and training responsibilities for staff, students, and new orientees</li> <li>Participation in departmental decision-making, staff meetings, and committee work</li> </ul>

<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Completion of a formal two-year respiratory education program meeting requirements for Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialing</li> <li>Active Arizona Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license required</li> <li>Current CPR certification required at time of hire</li> <li>ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required within 12 months of employment</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge of volume ventilators and patient hemodynamics</li> <li>Ability to take an active leadership role in meeting departmental needs, including precepting staff, students, and orientees</li> <li>Acute care and ICU experience preferred</li> <li>Computer proficiency preferred; strong understanding of asepsis, infection control, and isolation practices required</li> </ul>
