Practice Highlights
- Cath Lab RN role providing direct clinical patient care in an interventional cardiology/procedural setting
- Full-time days — consistent, predictable scheduling
- Responsible for per-shift assessment, planning, and implementation of direct clinical care for assigned patients
- Coordinates and integrates patient care based on the nursing process within the prescribed medical regimen
- Oversees safe and timely medication administration per hospital policy
- Supervises delegated care staff at the unit level with accountability to CNO for quality, safety, and resource management
- Adheres to established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control
- Participates in Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities during emergencies and disaster events
- Part of a long-standing regional health system with deep community ties across the Rio Grande Valley since the early 1920s
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred
- Current Texas RN licensure required (or eligibility to obtain)
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required per unit/corporate policy (applicable to this role)
- Recent acute care experience preferred; Cath Lab or interventional/procedural nursing background is a strong asset
- Familiarity with hospital emergency codes, HICS structure, and infection control protocols
