Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required); Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas, or eligibility to obtain
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP required if applicable per corporate policy for this unit
  • Recent acute care experience preferred; OR-specific background strongly advantageous
  • Demonstrated competency in perioperative nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Familiarity with hospital emergency codes, HICS structure, and infection control standards
