Practice Highlights
- Multi-specialty physician practice group serving a broad patient population across the Memphis metro area
- Clinical scope includes vital signs, patient history intake, visual acuity assessment, chief complaint documentation, and physical and mental status assessment
- Administers oral medications and performs intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections
- Performs venipuncture and both CLIA-Waived and non-CLIA-Waived laboratory testing
- Prepares equipment and provides direct assistance to physicians during exams, treatments, and procedures
- Responsible for instrument cleaning, sterilization, and storage; exam room stocking and daily supply inventory
- Coordinates specialist referrals, diagnostic testing appointments, and insurance pre-certification for ordered procedures and surgeries
- Supports front-desk functions including phone coverage, appointment scheduling, patient check-out, and referral processing
- Occasional local travel to support other clinic locations within the network
- Documentation completed in the patient medical record in accordance with practice charting policy
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience accepted in lieu of formal education
- Medical Assistant certification preferred (required in select markets); CPR certification required
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a physician office setting
- Ability to perform clinical procedures including injections, venipuncture, and point-of-care lab testing
- Willingness to travel locally on an occasional basis to support other clinic sites within the network
