Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- No prior experience required — new graduates are eligible and encouraged to apply
- Prior acute care experience in med/surg, telemetry, or ICU is preferred but not mandatory
- Active Texas State Registered Nurse license required at time of hire
- Active Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required on hire (ARC or AHA); AHA Healthcare Provider BLS specifically required within 60 days of hire
- AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into the PCU/telemetry role, and should be completed before the end of the orientation period
