About the Community

San Antonio is the seventh-largest city in the United States and one of Texas's most culturally rich destinations, offering a blend of deep history, vibrant food and arts scenes, and year-round warm weather. The city is home to the River Walk, the Alamo, and a thriving medical corridor anchored by the South Texas Medical Center. Cost of living remains well below the national average for a major metro, and Texas has no state income tax — a meaningful financial advantage for nurses at any career stage. Outdoor recreation, professional sports, and easy access to the Texas Hill Country round out a lifestyle that appeals to both new graduates and experienced clinicians looking to plant roots.
