About the Community

Modesto sits in the heart of California's Central Valley, roughly 90 miles east of San Francisco and 65 miles south of Sacramento — close enough to major metros for weekend access, yet offering a cost of living well below the Bay Area. The region is flanked by the Sierra Nevada foothills to the east, providing year-round access to hiking, skiing, and lake recreation, while the Valley's agricultural heritage supports a vibrant local food and wine culture. Modesto's established neighborhoods, strong school options, and genuine sense of community make it a practical and appealing base for clinicians seeking California lifestyle without California urban pricing.
