Baptist Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas is recruiting a Nursing Assistant for its Telemetry unit — a direct patient care support role embedded within a six-hospital health system with more than 120 years of community service. Working under RN supervision, the NA delivers hands-on basic nursing care to a telemetry patient population and has access to one of San Antonio's most comprehensive acute care networks, including a dedicated children's hospital, a cancer care network, imaging centers, and a school of health professions. Practice Highlights
- Telemetry unit assignment providing basic nursing care to patients age 15 through adult under direct RN supervision

- Affiliated with the Baptist School of Health Professions, supporting ongoing clinical education within the system
- Competency validation completed within a designated introductory period following hire
Qualifications
- Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent required
- Preferred education: satisfactory completion of a Nurse Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assisting program
- Preferred experience: 6 months in a healthcare setting and/or working knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
- Active Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (ARC or AHA) required at time of hire; AHA Healthcare Provider BLS must be obtained within 60 days of hire
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification required within 60 days of hire or transfer into the position
