Abrazo Arrowhead Campus in Glendale, Arizona is recruiting an Emergency Room Technician to provide direct patient care support in a busy Emergency Department at a 217-bed acute care hospital that has served the greater Phoenix West Valley community since 1988. Practice Highlights
- Emergency Department at a 217-bed acute care hospital with recognized advanced service lines: cardiovascular, orthopedic, obstetrics, and emergency care
- Direct patient care performed under RN supervision, including cardiac monitor placement, vital signs and intake/output documentation, foley catheter insertion, phlebotomy, 12-lead EKGs, wound care, and joint immobilization/splinting/casting
- Active role in patient admission, transfer, and discharge workflows alongside the nursing team
- Responsibility for department supply chain: stocking and organizing linens, bedside equipment, suture trays, IV trays and carts, O2 tank management, and blanket warmers
- Fast-paced environment requiring continuous prioritization across a rapidly changing patient census

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED required
- One of the following pathways satisfies the experience/credential requirement:
- One year of experience as a nursing assistant
- Current CNA certificate or LNA license from the Arizona State Board of Nursing
- Completion of block one / first year of an accredited nursing program
- Current EMT-Basic (EMT-B) certification
- Completion of a formal PCA, Patient Care Technician, or ED Tech education program from an accredited institution
- Current CPR certification required
- Basic medical terminology knowledge and proficiency in basic computer skills required
- Preferred: six months of hospital or emergency department experience as a Unit Secretary, EMT, or CNA; CNA or EMT certification preferred
- Strong customer service orientation essential given direct patient-facing responsibilities
