Practice Highlights
- Recovery unit role providing basic nursing care under direct RN direction and supervision

- GI Lab serves patients from age 24 months through adult
- Chemical Dependency and Psychiatric Unit delivers holistic, family-inclusive care for adult patients
- Part of a six-hospital system that also includes a specialized children's hospital with a dedicated pediatric emergency unit, a comprehensive cancer care network, imaging centers, fitness and rehabilitation centers, ambulatory services, and the Baptist School of Health Professions
- Position-specific competencies completed within a designated introductory period
Qualifications
- Minimum education: High School diploma or equivalent required
- Preferred education: Satisfactory completion of a Nurse Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assisting course
- Preferred experience: 6 months in a healthcare setting and/or working knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
- Active Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required on hire (American Red Cross or American Heart Association); AHA Healthcare Provider BLS must be obtained within 60 days of hire
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification required within 60 days of hire or transfer into the position
