Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Active Texas State Registered Nurse license required at time of hire
- Minimum experience: none required; two years of acute care experience preferred
- Active ARC or AHA Healthcare Provider BLS required at hire; AHA Healthcare Provider BLS specifically required within 60 days of hire
- Adult ED track: AHA ACLS required within 60 days of hire (before end of orientation); AHA PALS required within 60 days of hire (before end of orientation; not required at North Central Baptist Hospital Adult ED); TNCC required within 1 year of hire or transfer; Non-Violent Crisis Intervention required within 60 days of hire; ENPC preferred
- Pediatric ED track: AHA PALS required within 60 days of hire (before end of orientation); TNCC required within 1 year of hire or transfer; Non-Violent Crisis Intervention required within 60 days of hire; ENPC required within 18 months of hire or transfer
