Mission Trail Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas is recruiting an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity team within a system that includes six full-service hospitals, a dedicated children's hospital with a pediatric emergency unit, and more than 120 years of community-based care. This role supports both Adult ED and Pediatric ED environments, offering a clinician the breadth of emergency nursing across the full age spectrum in one of Texas's largest and most dynamic healthcare markets.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Active Texas State Registered Nurse license required at time of hire
  • Minimum experience: none required; two years of acute care experience preferred
  • Active ARC or AHA Healthcare Provider BLS required at hire; AHA Healthcare Provider BLS specifically required within 60 days of hire
  • Adult ED track: AHA ACLS required within 60 days of hire (before end of orientation); AHA PALS required within 60 days of hire (before end of orientation; not required at North Central Baptist Hospital Adult ED); TNCC required within 1 year of hire or transfer; Non-Violent Crisis Intervention required within 60 days of hire; ENPC preferred
  • Pediatric ED track: AHA PALS required within 60 days of hire (before end of orientation); TNCC required within 1 year of hire or transfer; Non-Violent Crisis Intervention required within 60 days of hire; ENPC required within 18 months of hire or transfer
