<p>Abrazo Arrowhead Campus in Glendale, Arizona is recruiting an Emergency Room Technician to provide direct patient care support in a busy Emergency Department at a 217-bed acute care hospital that has served the greater Phoenix West Valley community since 1988. Working under RN supervision, this role carries meaningful clinical responsibility — from phlebotomy and EKGs to wound care, splinting, and cardiac monitoring — making it an ideal position for a CNA, EMT, or nursing student who wants hands-on ED experience in a recognized regional facility.</p>

<h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Emergency Department at a 217-bed acute care hospital with recognized advanced service lines including cardiovascular, orthopedic, obstetrics, and emergency care</li> <li>Direct patient care performed under RN supervision: cardiac monitor placement, vital signs and intake/output documentation, Foley catheter insertion, phlebotomy, 12-lead EKGs, wound care, and joint immobilization/splinting/casting</li> <li>Active role in patient transport and support of admissions, transfers, and discharges</li> <li>Responsibility for department supply management: linen stocking, bedside equipment, suture trays, O2 tank maintenance, IV trays and carts, and blanket warmers</li> <li>Room turnover duties — cleaning and resetting rooms between patients to maintain department flow</li> <li>Fast-paced environment requiring the ability to prioritize across a rapidly changing workload</li> <li>Established community hospital with more than 35 years of service to the Glendale and West Valley region</li> </ul>

<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent GED required</li> <li>One of the following pathways satisfies the experience/training requirement: <ul> <li>One year of experience as a nursing assistant</li> <li>Current CNA certificate or LNA license from the Arizona State Board of Nursing</li> <li>Completion of block one / first year of an accredited nursing program</li> <li>Current EMT-Basic (EMT-B) certification</li> <li>Completion of a formal PCA, PCT, or ED Tech education program from an accredited institution</li> </ul> </li> <li>Current CPR certification required</li> <li>Basic medical terminology knowledge and proficient computer skills required</li> <li>Preferred: six months of hospital or emergency room experience as a Unit Secretary, EMT, or CNA</li> <li>Preferred: active CNA certification or EMT certification at time of hire</li> </ul>
