Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Active Texas State Registered Nurse license required, or current eligibility for Texas state board certification
  • Completion of a peri-anesthesia or critical care internship or training course preferred
  • CPAN (Post Anesthesia — ABPANC) board eligibility or certification preferred for PACU placement; CNOR preferred for surgical services; SGNA board eligibility or certification preferred for GI Lab
  • Active AHA or ARC Healthcare Provider BLS required at hire; AHA Healthcare Provider BLS specifically required within 60 days of hire
  • AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer for all Surgical Services areas
  • AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer for PACU placement
