Resolute Health Hospital in New Braunfels, Texas is recruiting an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Associate (PCA) to join its Emergency Department team. This full-service acute care hospital offers a broad clinical environment — from a Level III NICU to a high-acuity ED serving patients of all ages — making this an ideal position for a hands-on clinician who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-specialty setting. Practice Highlights

  • Emergency Department assignment providing direct patient care to all age groups, from pediatric through geriatric, including high-risk adult and pediatric presentations
  • Works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, delivering basic and intermediate nursing care to an assigned patient group
  • Hospital service lines include emergency services, cardiology and cardiovascular care, orthopedics, surgical services (neonate through geriatric), women's health, labor and delivery/obstetrics, neonatal care, GI lab, rehabilitation, and behavioral health (chemical dependency and psychiatric units)
  • Home to the area's only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • Special care areas manage high-risk conditions in patients ages 15 through adult
  • Maternal child units include labor and delivery, nursery (newborn through discharge), and pediatrics (neonate through age 18)
  • Competency validation completed within a designated introductory period upon hire or transfer

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of an accredited Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant, or intermediate or higher-level Emergency Medical Technician program required
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in an inpatient, emergency department, or skilled nursing setting
  • Current certification required in one of the following: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Medical Assistant (MA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), Phlebotomist, or EKG Technician
  • Preferred background includes completed training as a Nurse Aide, EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assistant
  • BLS certification required, obtained through an American Heart Association-approved Training Center or the Military Training Network
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification required within 60 days of hire or transfer to position
