<h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Emergency Department technician role providing direct patient care support under RN supervision in an active hospital-based ED</li> <li>Direct patient care responsibilities include: vital signs and I&O documentation, cardiac monitor placement, Foley catheter insertion, phlebotomy, 12-lead EKGs, wound care, and joint immobilization/splinting/casting</li> <li>Supports patient transport, admission, transfer, and discharge workflows in coordination with the nursing team</li> <li>Responsible for room turnover — cleaning and preparing rooms between patients to maintain throughput</li> <li>Manages supply organization and equipment maintenance including linens, bedside equipment, suture trays, IV trays and carts, O2 tank refills, and monitor supplies</li> <li>Operates within a 217-bed acute care campus with recognized service lines in cardiovascular care, orthopedics, obstetrics, and emergency medicine</li> <li>Facility has served the greater Glendale/Peoria community continuously since 1988, with an established regional patient base</li> <li>Dynamic, rapidly changing workload requiring strong prioritization skills and adaptability</li> </ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent GED required</li> <li>One of the following experience or credential pathways required: <ul> <li>One year of experience as a nursing assistant, OR</li> <li>Current CNA certificate or LNA license from the Arizona State Board of Nursing, OR</li> <li>Completion of Block 1 / first year of an accredited nursing school program, OR</li> <li>Current EMT-Basic (EMT-B) certification, OR</li> <li>Completion of a formal PCA/PCT/ED Tech education program from an accredited institution</li> </ul> </li> <li>Current CPR certification required</li> <li>Basic computer skills and working knowledge of medical terminology required</li> <li>Preferred: six months of hospital or emergency room experience as a Unit Secretary, EMT, or CNA</li> <li>Preferred credentials: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)</li> </ul>
