This is a fully remote Physician Services Coder II opportunity focused on Emergency Department coding, based out of Frisco, TX. The role centers on high-accuracy ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS code assignment across evaluation and management, radiology, and ED service lines, with a clear productivity and quality framework. Practice Highlights

- Review and resolve pre-bill coding edits prior to claim submission
- Review and resolve coding denials, applying CCI, LCD, NCD, and client-specific guidelines
- Accuracy standard: must meet or exceed 95.5% on monthly internal audits
- Productivity measured via internal audit benchmarks with defined monthly closing deadlines
- Collaborative team environment — communicates coding issues to internal teams and external clients in one-on-one and small-group settings
- Utilizes multiple coding resources and reference tools to support accurate code assignment
Qualifications
- Active CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS-P (Certified Coding Specialist – Physician-based), or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 3–5 years of physician services coding experience
- Vocational or technical education beyond high school
- Demonstrated working knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy, and coding rules and regulations
- Solid understanding of third-party reimbursement regulations, billing practices, CCI edits, LCDs, and NCDs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Detail-oriented with strong problem identification and resolution skills; ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; clear written and verbal communication skills
