<p>This is a fully remote Inpatient Corporate Coder role supporting a large, multi-facility acute care health system operating 65 hospitals and approximately 510 outpatient centers across the United States. Based out of Dallas, TX, the position sits within the Health Information Management Corporate Coding team and carries responsibility for accurate ICD-10 coding, abstracting, and quality review across assigned facilities. <h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Fully remote position — work from anywhere in the United States</li> <li>Reports to the Health Information Corporate Coding Manager within a centralized corporate coding function</li> <li>Responsible for accurate coding and abstracting of clinical documentation from the medical record across multiple assigned Tenet facilities</li> <li>Utilizes CARDS and RevInt platforms to review flagged cases for coding accuracy</li> <li>Participates in coding quality reviews, audits, and second-level reviews as needed</li> <li>Assists with maintaining Days Not Finally Coded (DNFC) targets through productive inpatient coding support</li> <li>Contributes to onboarding and training of new corporate coders and supports ad hoc coding projects</li> <li>Attends ongoing Tenet coding education sessions; credential maintenance is expected and supported</li> <li>Enterprise footprint spans 65 hospitals and ~510 outpatient centers, providing broad exposure to complex, high-volume inpatient case mix</li> </ul>

<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Associate's degree or higher in Health Information Management required; Bachelor's degree or higher preferred</li> <li>AHIMA credential required or strongly preferred — acceptable credentials include RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or equivalent AHIMA-certified designation</li> <li>Minimum 1–3 years of inpatient coding experience required; 3+ years preferred</li> <li>Prior coding experience within a large, complex health system is a plus</li> <li>Proficiency with MS Office suite and strong working knowledge of electronic medical record systems</li> <li>Pre-employment coding proficiency assessment will be administered as part of the hiring process</li> </ul>
