Practice Highlights
- Educator role covering three high-acuity units: Medical ICU (MICU), Surgical ICU (SICU), and Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Reports to the Market Education Director; collaborates directly with facility and market nursing leadership across departments
- Responsible for the full education lifecycle: assessment, planning, development, implementation, facilitation, evaluation, and revision of nursing education programs
- Delivers and coordinates orientation, continuing education, in-services, Grand Rounds, and specialty curricula aligned with adult learning principles and organizational learning theory
- Provides consultation on process improvement, performance enhancement, and service-delivery optimization; contributes to nursing councils, committees, and workgroups
- Ensures all programs meet Department of Nursing standards and applicable regulatory requirements
- Supports mentorship and professional development pathways for nursing staff at all levels
- Piedmont Medical Center Rock Hill is a 288-bed facility offering advanced cardiac and stroke care, maternity services, and a Level III NICU; the Fort Mill campus (opened 2022, 100 beds) adds a 24/7 ED, ICU, Medical/Surgical Unit, Surgical Services, and Women's Services

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, nursing education, or a related field required; advanced or graduate degree preferred
- Minimum three years of nursing experience in an acute care setting required; critical care background strongly aligned with MICU/SICU/PCU scope
- Valid Permanent Multi-State RN License from state of residence required; nurses holding a compact license from another state must obtain a Multi-State RN License from their state of residence within 30 days of hire
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification required at time of hire
- American Heart Association BLS Instructor certification required to be obtained within orientation period
