Practice Highlights
- Full-time, day-shift schedule at a 333-bed acute care hospital serving Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast
- Active OR environment utilizing MAKO robotic and Da Vinci robotic platforms for general and specialty surgical procedures
- Commission on Cancer-accredited cancer program anchored by a state-of-the-art Breast Center
- Responsibilities span pre-, intra-, and post-operative room support: room turnovers, case cart assembly, sterile supply opening, and end-of-day room preparation
- Assembles case carts daily using established and handwritten surgeon preference cards and pick lists; coordinates directly with Sterile Processing Department to confirm instrument tray availability before each case
- Post-case cleanup duties include mopping, wiping horizontal surfaces, linen changes, trash and used linen disposal, anesthesia disposable circuit changes, and suction disposal and setup
- Stocks OR rooms to established PAR levels and works in conjunction with the OR RN to anticipate equipment needs for upcoming cases
- All sterile technique performed in accordance with AORN Standards and Recommended Practices
- On-call coverage required as needed

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum one year of recent experience in OR materials management and/or Sterile Processing Department (SPD) within an acute care hospital setting
- Basic working knowledge of AORN standards required
- SPD or ORT (Operating Room Technician) certification preferred but not required
