Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program, equivalent training, or on-the-job training pathway accepted; minimum one year of clinical experience preferred (or recent program graduate considered)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST through NBSTSA or equivalent) preferred
- Florida does not require state licensure for surgical technologists, but program graduation or equivalent credentialing is required per facility standards
