  • Execution and scanning of required legal and compliance documents: Advance Directives, Conditions of Service, Consent for Treatment, Important Message from Medicare, and EMTALA forms
  • Scheduling support for diagnostic procedures, including data entry, patient appointment instructions, and coordination tasks
  • High-volume, fast-paced environment with exposure to the full spectrum of patient acuity, including life-threatening conditions in patient care areas
  • Collaborative work model requiring strong relationships with both internal departments and external clients (physician offices, payors, community partners)

Qualifications

  • Spanish/English bilingual proficiency required
  • High School Diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred
  • 0–1 year of customer service experience; 0–1 year of administrative experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or related field preferred
  • Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute; demonstrated working knowledge of PC, CRT, and printer systems
  • Ability to interpret physician orders, medical terminology, and insurance cards accurately
  • Working knowledge of Third Party Payor requirements and healthcare compliance standards preferred
  • Proficiency in patient negotiation and liability collection techniques using compliant, professional methods
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods; occasional lifting up to 25 lbs; occasional wheelchair assistance for patients with mobility needs
  • Must provide confirmation of all required vaccinations and screenings prior to start of employment, including COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations as applicable and permitted by law
