Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required; candidates credentialed on or after July 1, 2002 must be actively enrolled in the NBRC Credential Maintenance Program
- Graduate of a two-year AMA-approved Respiratory Care Program; Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy required
- Active Florida license issued by the State Department of Professional Regulations
- Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Current NRP certification required for therapists assigned to the NICU
- Minimum of one year of post-graduate clinical experience in respiratory care procedures
