<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Graduate of an AMA-accredited Respiratory Care Program required</li> <li>Current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required</li> <li>Current CRT or RRT certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required; renewal every five years (unless grandfathered prior to July 1, 2002)</li> <li>Active Healthcare Provider BLS certification (ARC or AHA) required on hire; AHA Healthcare Provider BLS must be obtained within 60 days of hire</li> <li>AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role</li> <li>AHA PALS required within 60 days of hire or transfer if covering pediatric patients</li> <li>AHA NRP required within 60 days of hire or transfer if covering NICU</li> <li>Prior hospital respiratory care experience preferred</li> </ul>
