WBMC is part of the Palm Beach Health Network and has served southern Palm Beach and northern Broward counties for more than 37 years, offering a broad clinical scope that includes the only Level III NICU in southern Palm Beach County. This role provides hands-on exposure to the full spectrum of cardiopulmonary care across inpatient and outpatient populations of all ages.

Practice Highlights
- Full-scope respiratory therapy practice covering inpatients and outpatients across all age groups, from neonates to adults
- Clinical modalities include oxygen and therapeutic gas delivery, aerosol inhalation therapy, Holter monitor setup, pulmonary function testing (PFT), mechanical ventilation, and blood gas sampling and analysis
- Level III NICU — the only such unit in southern Palm Beach County — requiring NRP-certified therapists; strong neonatal respiratory exposure available

Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; NBRC Credential Maintenance Program participation required for credentials awarded on or after July 1, 2002
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an AMA-approved two-year Respiratory Care Program
- Active Florida license issued by the Florida Department of Professional Regulations
- Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Current NRP certification required for therapists assigned to the NICU
- Minimum one year of post-graduate clinical experience in respiratory care procedures preferred
- Membership in the Florida Society of Respiratory Care and/or the American Association for Respiratory Care is recommended
