- Works directly with referral sources and patients to obtain all necessary intake information and ensure accurate scheduling
- Operates within a large acute care and specialty hospital system with 52 hospitals across nine states, supported by robust administrative infrastructure
Qualifications
- Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent GED required
- Preferred education: Associate's Degree from an accredited institution; graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program and/or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential preferred
- Minimum experience: 2 years of medical office experience; completion of an externship with Healthlink may substitute for the 2-year requirement
- Preferred experience: 4 years of medical office experience
- Preferred certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Required on hire: Active Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA); must hold AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
- No additional required licensure or certifications beyond BLS
