Practice Highlights

  • 200-bed acute care hospital serving the West Valley communities of the greater Phoenix metropolitan area
  • Cardiac unit RN providing direct bedside care with individualized, age-specific nursing plans based on the nursing process
  • Coordinates care planning across disciplines; participates in hourly rounding and interdisciplinary goal-setting
  • Acts in a supervisory capacity as needed — assessing, planning, delegating, and directing other healthcare team members; may serve as charge nurse for designated shifts
  • Advanced facility technology includes the da Vinci Xi robotic surgical platform and the Loop-X intraoperative imaging system
  • Designated Level I Trauma Center with broad service lines: cardiovascular care, orthopedics, obstetrics, and surgical services
  • ACLS required upon completion of orientation for Cardiac/Telemetry unit nurses
  • Fast-paced environment with periods of elevated acuity; strong emphasis on patient safety, safe work practices, and quality improvement

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse license to practice in the State of Arizona (required)
  • Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school (required); BSN preferred
  • Current CPR certification required; ACLS required upon completion of orientation for Cardiac/Telemetry placement
  • Minimum one year of acute care experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical foundations will be considered
  • Certification in cardiac or relevant specialty area of practice preferred
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills; ability to function in a high-acuity, team-based environment
  • Basic computer proficiency required
