About the Community

Tucson is Arizona's second-largest city, situated in the Sonoran Desert at roughly 2,400 feet elevation and surrounded by five mountain ranges — offering year-round outdoor recreation including hiking, cycling, and climbing within minutes of the hospital. The city is home to the University of Arizona, a vibrant arts and food scene, and a cost of living well below most major Sun Belt metros. With over 300 days of sunshine annually and easy access to both Phoenix and the Mexican border region, Tucson draws clinicians who want an intellectually rich, culturally diverse community without the pace or expense of a large urban center.
