Practice Highlights
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment — caring for adult patients (age 15 through maturity) with elevated acuity under direct RN supervision
- System-wide CNA scope spans General Nursing Units, Special Care Areas, Maternal Child (Labor & Delivery, Nursery), Pediatrics (neonate through age 18), GI Lab (age 24 months through adult), Chemical Dependency and Psychiatric Units, Emergency Unit, and Surgical Services
- Special Care Areas serve high-risk adult patients; Emergency Unit provides care across all age groups including pediatric and high-risk adult presentations
- Surgical Services covers the full age spectrum from neonate to geriatric
- All clinical staff complete established competencies within a designated introductory period

Qualifications
- Minimum education: High School diploma or equivalent required
- Preferred education: Satisfactory completion of a Nurse Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assisting program
- Preferred experience: Six or more months in a healthcare setting and/or working knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
- BLS certification required — must be obtained through an approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification required within 60 days of hire or transfer into the position
- E-Verify participant — candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
