Practice Highlights

  • Performs venipuncture (phlebotomy) as a core daily function; expected to achieve independent blood draw competency within six weeks of hire
  • Handles specimen receipt, labeling of tubes and specimen containers, and distribution of laboratory specimens
  • May perform CLIA-waived laboratory tests in addition to specimen processing duties
  • Supports routine technical and clerical laboratory functions across a high-volume clinical environment

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a formal phlebotomy program preferred
  • Minimum six months of laboratory experience preferred; new graduates with phlebotomy training are encouraged to apply
  • Must demonstrate ability to perform independent blood draws within six weeks of hire
  • Comfort with both technical specimen-handling tasks and clerical/administrative laboratory support functions
